MONTREAL: Radio-Canada has entered into a distribution agreement with Europe Images International that covers Europe and French-speaking Africa.

This includes some 80 hours of content from the genres of history, current affairs, social issues and lifestyle documentaries, as well as animation, short films and archival interviews. Titles include The Great Food Revolution, Canada: Above and Beyond, The Rapidly Changing Arctic and Rwanda: A Horror Without End

“Radio-Canada aims to leverage Europe Images International’s vast reach and expertise to more effectively promote its brand in French-speaking markets around the world,” said Robert Trempe, the senior executive director for revenue for CBC/Radio-Canada French services.

“We’re delighted to be promoting this high-quality catalogue backed by the solid Radio-Canada name,” added Frank Soloveicik, the CEO of Europe Images International. “It will help round out our program offering, especially in the area of documentaries—a genre well suited to multiplatform applications and long-term, international distribution.”
