CANNES: With an exclusive preview at MIPCOM today, Shaftesbury unveiled the new comedy Good Dog, which is created, written, produced and directed by Ken Finkleman, who also stars.

Finkleman is in Cannes promoting the 13×30-minute series, which will make its broadcast debut in Canada on The Movie Network and Movie Central in 2011. Good Dog is produced by Shaftesbury in association with The Movie Network and Movie Central. The series is executive produced by Finkleman and Shaftesbury’s Christina Jennings and Scott Garvie, and produced by Peter Meyboom for Shaftesbury. Shaftesbury Sales Company holds all international sales and distribution rights for the series.

"With its introspective and irreverently funny take on the relationship between a neurotic, commitment-phobic TV producer and his much younger girlfriend, Good Dog is a comedy with universal appeal that will resonate with diverse audiences around the world," said Shane Kinnear, the senior VP of marketing, sales and digital media at Shaftesbury Films.
