TORONTO: Skywriter Media and Entertainment Group has signed up professional wrestler Hulk Hogan to play the judge in a new live-action kids’ game show, Hogan’s Court.

The show is being produced by Skywriter Television, Positive Productions and Lenz Entertainment. The series sets up a hyper-colored court room, with special effects, props and bold personalities. Hogan will help determine the outcome of each case, with punishments range from a plunge in a vat of cold baked beans to picking up dog droppings. Targeted at the 8-to-12 demographic, 26 half-hour episodes are in development. Skywriter will be looking for presales on the series at MIPCOM.

"We are delighted to be working with Hulk Hogan,” said Kevin Gillis, the CEO and executive producer at Skywriter. “His iconic personality and sense of humor will make ‘family justice’ fun for the whole family…well almost.”

“I am really looking forward to developing such an entertaining series with great production partners,” added Hogan. “We want this to be one of those rare shows that kids and their families can watch together, and all find something to laugh about.”
