MIAMI: The Television Nacional de Chile series Where Is Elisa?, part of the Telemundo Internacional catalogue, takes on a 5 p.m. time slot in Canada on Telelatino as of September 4.

Telemundo Internacional has sold the format into numerous territories, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Turkey and the U.S. The telenovela is directed by María Eugenia Rencoret. It tells the story of Elisa Dominguez’s disappearance during her father’s birthday. Police detectives begin to investigate, going down a long list of possible suspects, from her schoolmates and former employees of her father’s company to her friends and family.

Joysette Rivera, Telemundo Internacional’s sales manager of Central America, the Caribbean and Canada, commented, “We are certain that the original story written by Pablo Illanes will become a success in Canada, as it has done so internationally. Not only has it over-delivered on television, but it has also been recognized with several awards, including Best Telenovela at the prestigious Banff World Television Festival Rockie Awards in Canada and nominations at the upcoming Seoul Drama Awards in Korea and Rose d’Or in Switzerland.”
