SANTA MONICA: GSN (Game Show Network) is now represented by International Broadcast Communications (IBC), and will head to MIPCOM with a slate of game shows and formats to offer the international market.

“Game shows and competition entertainment truly transcend borders,” said Jon Helmrich, the founder and president of IBC. “Many of the reality and game shows we know and love best were inspired by international programs. The excitement of competition and the thrill of winning communicate easily in every language.”

GSN is licensing shows such as Late Night Liars, an original late night comedy show that features the puppet design of Henson Alternative, a label of The Jim Henson Company for content specifically and exclusively for adults. There’s also Catch 21, a fast-action series blending pop trivia and the classic card game, and High Stakes Poker, the only cash game of no-limit Texas Hold ‘Em on TV. Further offerings include Cram, a quiz show; Friend or Foe, a game of knowledge and trust; Inquizition, an elimination-style Q&A; Burt Luddin’s Love Buffet, a show testing couples about their love lives; and National Lampoon’s Funny Money, which has celebrity comedians work the contestants.
