New Doc Looks at Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak

KUALA LUMPUR: National Geographic Channel has co-produced a new documentary spotlighting the personal story of Malaysia’s second prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak, in celebration of the country’s 53rd independence day.

A Leader’s Legacy: Tun Abdul Razak was co-produced by National Geographic Channel and the Ministry of Information, Communication & Culture and the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) in association with Astro. The exclusive hour-long documentary looks at Tun Abdul Razak, dubbed the Father of Development, on his journey to steer the country out of its period of racial strife.

The doc will premiere exclusively on National Geographic Channel in Malaysia on August 24 at 9 p.m., with repeats on independence day, August 31, as well as September 5 and 16.
