Asian Food Channel Produces First Original Series

SINGAPORE: The Asian Food Channel is to debut its first-ever self-produced cooking series, Best Wan, featuring the culinary expertise of Chef Wan, on August 17.

The ten-part series will be shown exclusively on Asian Food Channel (AFC). The show will feature Redzuawan bin Ismail, better known as Chef Wan, as he demonstrates how to make delectable dishes. Best Wan was shot exclusively by Asian Food Channel in the AFC penthouse kitchen. The show features three special episodes, including a Hari Raya Special, which will be shown on September 7.

Maria Brown, co-founder and managing director of AFC, said, “We’re proud to announce the much anticipated premiere of Best Wan. Chef Wan is one of Asia’s most recognized names in culinary expertise, who blends in the perfect mix of East and West in his recipes. His wit, humor and mastery in the kitchen will certainly enchant our viewers. We’re excited about the series—it being the channel’s first ever original cooking program. This clearly demonstrates how the channel is evolving to be at the forefront of television programming, in an effort to provide quality Asian food program to a wider regional audience.”
