JAKARTA: Endemol has clinched its first deal with Indonesian broadcaster P.T. Indosiar Visual Mandiri (IVM), which has signed up for 52 episodes of the game-show format 1 vs. 100.

The Indonesian version, 1 LAWAN 100 (Satu Lawan Seratus), will air three times a week on IVM beginning in August. The format has already fared well in the region, scoring local adaptations in China, Korea and Vietnam.

1 vs. 100 is one of numerous Endemol formats that are going from strength to strength in Asia and we plan to continue building on this," said Arjen van Mierlo, Endemol’s CEO of Asian operations. "We’re also proud to be partnering for the first time with IVM, one of Indonesia’s largest and most popular networks and we hope that this will be the first of many hit shows that we bring to them.”

Triandy Suyatman, program director at IVM, added: "The drama and jeopardy of 1 vs. 100 has already made it a major success in territories across Asia and we believe the show will prove to be every bit as popular with audiences in Indonesia. Endemol has a well earned reputation for delivering hit programming and we are extremely pleased to be working with them on this exciting new show.”
