Andrew Davenport to Keynote Brand Licensing Europe

LONDON: Andrew Davenport, the creator, writer and composer of the popular children’s show In the Night Garden and co-creator and writer of the global hit Teletubbies, has been slated as a keynote speaker for this year’s Brand Licensing Europe.

Teletubbies has been seen in more than 120 countries, with 33 million videos and DVDs and more than 50 million plush toys sold worldwide. In the Night Garden has sold more than 4.4 million plush toys to date. The show has been translated into 19 different languages.

Jessica Blue, event director for Brand Licensing Europe 2010, said: "We are thrilled that Andrew, as such an influential figure in the industry, is delivering the keynote speech in what is set to be our biggest and best Brand Licensing Europe event yet. Andrew is one of the world’s leading preschool creators who has helped remodel the landscape of children’s programming and its licensing potential."

Brand Licensing Europe 2010 will take place from September 28 to 30 at London’s Grand Hall, Olympia.
