CMT Lines Up New Dance Competition

NASHVILLE: Your Chance to Dance, produced by The Gurin Company, is a new competition series on CMT that features contestants putting their own spin on popular video dance moves in front of a live studio audience.

Each hour-long episode watches five contestants compete for a $10,000 prize, with the winner decided by audience vote. The show is hosted by Mark Walberg, who has appeared on reality series such as Temptation Island and The Moment of Truth. DRG represents the format internationally.

"Our viewers are avid music fans and love to be entertained," said Claire McCabe, the VP of original programming and development for CMT. "This series gives them the opportunity to combine both music and dancing as they enjoy paying tribute to their favorite dance scenes from all formats. From Dierks Bentley’s Sideways to Rihanna’s Umbrella to the infamous dance scene You’re the One That I Want from the movie Grease—this show is all about viewers cutting loose and having a good time."
