ENGLEWOOD: Chris McGurk and Danny Rosett, CEO and COO, respectively, of Starz-owned feature film producer and distributor Overture Films, have resigned.

In a statement, Starz said that the two executives were exiting due to "differences over the strategic direction of the company." Peter Adee, president of worldwide marketing, distribution and new media for Overture, will assume day-to-day operational responsibilities, reporting to Starz’s president and CEO, Chris Albrecht.

The division, which recently released Antoine Fuqua’s Brooklyn’s Finest, has been on the auction block for several months.
