ARLINGTON: The new owners of the Soundtrack Channel are planning to relaunch the service with a broader programming mix.

Soundtrack Channel was launched by former E! executive Bill Lee in 2002, delivering music from film and TV. That element will remain on the Soundtrack Channel under its new owners, New Sound Media, but the programming will be expanded to cover a broader scope of music and entertainment. This includes a week of performances from the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The show is being produced by Texas-based ME Television using footage from its SXSW coverage over the past four years. There will also be live music, red carpet interviews, original programming, and entertainment events from around U.S.

“We are excited to launch the new Soundtrack Channel with this great original programming produced by ME Television," said Michael Fletcher, director of New Sound Media and the CEO of Studios 121, a shareholder in New Sound Media. "It marks the beginning of new programming, a new look, and new entertainment from Soundtrack Channel for our growing audience,”
