Arthur Schweitzer Tapped as NATPE Consultant

LOS ANGELES: Arthur Schweitzer, who spent several years at Reed MIDEM’s television division, has been named senior consultant and liaison for NATPE 2011, set for January 24 to 26 in Miami.

Schweitzer will work to bolster attendance from Europe, working with joins Gary Mitchell, NATPE’s London-based European business development executive. “We are pleased to bring Arthur on board in a key role to promote the uniqueness of NATPE while building a highly rewarding, centralized global content marketplace next year in Miami Beach,” said Rick Feldman, president and CEO of NATPE. “His perspective, insights, experience and connections will allow us to make valuable strides in attracting the important European program buyers and international decision makers to our market.”

Schweitzer operates Cinevest Interactive, a New York-based global sales company for movies, reality TV series and multiplatform content. He previously worked at Reed MIDEM in the television division, which stages MIPTV and MIPCOM. Schweitzer also spent seven years at Castle Hill Productions as an international sales and acquisition executive.

NATPE 2011 will mark the event’s move to Miami after a number of years in Las Vegas.
