Cash Cab, Ellen Take Daytime Emmys

NEW YORK: The 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were presented last night, with The Bold and the Beautiful, Cash Cab and Ellen DeGeneres among the night’s big winners.

Presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the awards aired last night on CBS, which took home a total of 7 wins. Winners of Daytime Emmys included The Bold and the Beautiful for outstanding drama, Cash Cab for outstanding game/audience participation show, and, in the talk show categories, The Ellen DeGeneres Show (entertainment) and The Doctors (informative.)

In the performance categories, nods went to Maura West, Michael Park and Julie Pinson for As the World Turns and Billy Miller for The Young and the Restless. In addition, Cash Cab‘s Ben Bailey was named outstanding game show host and Dr. Mehmet Oz was awarded outstanding talk-show host. Honors were also bestowed onto the directing team at General Hospital and the writing team at The Bold and the Beautiful.
