BBC Worldwide Channels Picks Up British Film Package

LONDON: BBC Worldwide has firmed up a package deal with Film4 Productions that sees BBC Entertainment taking on a selection of classic British independent movies. 

The six-week long movie season will launch a new film every Sunday at 10 p.m. on the channel in Poland. The deal kicks off on July 18 with the Danny Boyle classic Trainspotting. Further titles include Shallow Grave, Brassed Off and Fever Pitch. The movie season caps off with Sexy Beast

“BBC Entertainment is already the home of world-class, award-winning drama and comedy, and following the success of 2009’s movie season we aim to continue bringing the best of British film to the channel,” said David Fewings, the head of scheduling at BBC Worldwide Channels.
