Imira Sells Raft of Programming to RTP

BARCELONA: Imira Entertainment has signed a slew of deals from its animation catalogue with Portuguese pubcaster RTP

The deal includes CJ the DJ and The Way Things Work, both aimed at 6- to 12-year-olds. Also included are Tangerine & Cow from Normaal Animation and France Television and Shaolin Whuzang from ZDF Enterprises. The agreement further covers the new preschool show Saari, produced by Imira for Stor Fisk and TV3. Saari has also presold to YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway and Sweden’s SVT, as wll as the Disney Channels in Spain and Italy, Cartoon Network in Japan and S4C in Wales. 

Christophe Goldberger, the head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: “We truly value our relationship with RTP; it’s a channel where our shows do very well. We’re really pleased to extend the presence of our series in Portugal as well as signing an additional broadcaster for our new animation Saari.”
