New VH1 Rock Doc Spotlights the Band Rush

NEW YORK: VH1 Rock Docs presents the world premiere of the documentary RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage, which will debut on VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia on June 26 at 9 p.m.

The Canadian power trio Rush is comprised of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart. The documentary explores their early days of growing up in the suburbs of Toronto, through their landmark albums and tours and finishes with them in present day. RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage starts with their progressive hard rock days of the ’70s, through their rock sounds of the early ’80s, the keyboard influenced mid- to late-80s and when they decided in the ’90s to return to their original sound.

Zoe Vision, in association with Banger Films is set to release RUSH: Beyond the Lighted Stage on Blu-ray and DVD on June 29.
