LONDON: BBC Worldwide Channels and CANAL+ Cyfrowy have signed a carriage deal for the high-definition network BBC HD to be available immediately to subscribers of CYFRA+.

BBC HD is now available as part of the Prestizowy HD+ tier and the HD Mix option, as well as a standalone channel on CYFRA+. The channel is available with a dual language option, enabling viewers to access both a Polish lectored audio and the original English-language option.

Dean Possenniskie, the general manager and senior VP for EMEA at BBC Worldwide Channels, said: "We’re completely focused on bringing BBC HD, with some of the best HD content in the world, to as many homes as possible—this new deal takes total distribution of our channel to 750,000 households in Poland. I look forward to a great working relationship with CYFRA+ and to building on this success.”
