More Being Erica in the Works

TORONTO: Temple Street Productions and CBC Television are working on a third season of Being Erica.

Erin Karpluk returns as Erica Strange, Michael Riley is back as Dr. Tom and other returning cast members include Reagan Pasternak, Sebastian Pigott, Kathleen Laskey, John Boylan, Joanna Douglas and Morgan Kelly. Newcomers for the third season include Adam Fergus, Brandon Jay McLaren, Bill Turnbull and Michael Northey.

Also back for season three is the show’s creative team, creator and executive producer Jana Sinyor (Dark Oracle) and executive producer Aaron Martin (Degrassi: The Next Generation, The Best Years), along with executive producers David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg of Temple Street Productions (Billable Hours, Canada’s Next Top Model).

The show debuted on CBC in 2009, and BBC Worldwide has sold the series to some 40 countries, with broadcasters including SOAPnet in the U.S., E4 in the U.K., ABC2 in Australia and SBS/Net5 in Holland.
