WE tv to Enter Taiwan

NEW YORK: WE tv is expanding its Asian presence, with Rainbow Media securing a license from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) that will allow for the channel’s launch in the country.

The women’s network has already launched in Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore. Reaching more than 76 million U.S. households, WE tv features programs such as My Fair Wedding, Raising Sextuplets, Bridezillas, Amazing Wedding Cakes and The Locator.

“We’re pleased to have been awarded the license to bring WE tv to Taiwan,” said Ed Carroll, the COO of Rainbow Entertainment Services. “Taiwan is one of the most vital, bustling regions in Asia and is a key part of our global expansion initiative. We look forward to entertaining Taiwanese viewers with WE tv programming in the near future.”
