Video Interview: MEG’s Peter Greén & Sarah Coursey

NEW YORK: Media Entertainment Group’s Peter Greén and Sarah Coursey talk about how they are positioning the recently launched MEG Formats division on the international market in this video interview.

At the end of 2009, Media Entertainment Group (MEG) expanded its business with the creation of a new format-sales division, MEG Formats. The unit is led by Sarah Coursey, who got her start in the industry at Distraction Formats as head of sales, and went on to serve as head of formats and acquisitions at Zodiak Entertainment. Together, she and Peter Greén, MEG’s CEO, have worked to acquire a broad slate of formats from small- to medium-sized production companies. Pickups have included Miss Lingerie Model from New Zealand’s Comedia Productions, Catch Me If You Can from French indie La Creature and This Is Your Fridge, an original idea from London-based producer Mendoza Films. Ahead of this year’s MIPTV, the company also took on new titles from the U.S. for its formats slate, including Camping with the In-laws and Second Chance Makeover. In this video interview, Coursey and Greén discuss MEG’s strengths in the formats arena and what the growth path is for the division.
