Vivendi Revenues Up 6 Percent

PARIS: Vivendi’s first-quarter revenues increased by 6 percent to 6.9 billion euros, with an adjusted net profit of 736 million euros, reflecting a 13.4-percent increase.

The company reported an EBITA of 1.5 million euros, an increase of 14.1 percent on the year-ago period. Highlights of the quarter included the performance of its Activision Blizzard gaming division, with releases such as World of Warcraft.

At Canal+ Group, revenues gained 2.3 percent to 1.14 billion euros, with an EBITA of 254 million euros. Its French subscriber base grew by 315,000 in the period.
