L&M Deals Renewed on Postman Pat SDS

LONDON: Character Options has renewed its U.K. master toy license for Classic Media’s Postman Pat SDS until 2014, while several other British consumer-product partners have also re-signed up for the property.

VMC renewed its deal for Postman Pat SDS accessories and dress-up products, while TV Mania UK is on board again for apparel. Further U.K. partners that renewed deals for the property are Smiffy’s (dress up), Amscan (partywear) and Gemma (greetings cards). Postman Pat SDS also pulled in new partners, including DNC, which has come on board for the first time to develop and produce melamine and lunch bag lines.

The U.K’s largest theme park, Flamingo Land, has also decided to extend its Postman Pat SDS license following the popularity of the brands 2009 summer residency, which included ‘meet and greets,’ Pat’s ‘Special Missions’ and mini-shows. The park will host similar activity this season.

Through its extended partnership with Classic Media, Character Options will release six new products based on the Postman Pat SDS property this summer, including the SDS Electronic Helicopter and the Postman Pat SDS Convertible.
