Two Senior Appointments Made at Shaftesbury

TORONTO: Shaftesbury Films has expanded its senior management team with the addition of two new roles, hiring former Discovery Networks International executive Katherine Wolfgang and former CCI Entertainment exec Gord McIlquham to fill the newly created posts.

Wolfgang is to serve as the VP of communications, while McIlquham joins as senior VP of finance. Both appointments are effective immediately.

As the VP of communications, Wolfgang will oversee the communications strategy and global industry profile for Shaftesbury, including corporate, trade, internal and production. Sue Baldaro, the director of publicity, will continue to manage Shaftesbury’s production publicity and talent management activities. Wolfgang had been serving as VP of international communications at Discovery.

McIlquham, in his new role, will oversee all the financial aspects and governance for Shaftesbury, including corporate finance, treasury, tax and operations. At CCI, McIlquham was the lead financial officer. Prior to this he was the VP of finance at Fireworks Entertainment.
