BURBANK: Cookie Jar Entertainment and NDi Media have teamed up to develop and distribute an online game based on the series Mudpit, which is currently in production.

The game, Muzika, is set to launch in early 2011. Muzika is a multi-user role-playing game that will use NDi Media’s collaborative "Mix Master" music platform.

The Mudpit series is a live-action/animation hybrid, in which four real-world teens become music sensations in the online world known as Muzika. Their avatar personas battle their way towards stardom while in real life they are dealing with the everyday dramas of being a teenager.

“Cookie Jar Entertainment is pleased to partner with an innovative and creative company like NDi Media to develop a music-based game that will appeal to a broad range of fans," said Kenneth Locker, the senior VP of digital media at Cookie Jar Entertainment. “This extension of Mudpit will enable fans to enjoy a unique musical game experience unlike anything currently available online.”

"Music is in our DNA," commented Neil Smolar, the president of NDi Media. "We’ve enjoyed great success with our Mix Master platform over the last few years and we’re looking forward to extending that success through this exciting new relationship with Cookie Jar Entertainment and the Muzika game."
