RTL Commissions Trio of Originals from Granada Germany

CANNES: Granada Germany has been tapped to develop three original scripted projects—a prime-time drama, family TV movie and family sitcom—for RTL in Germany.

Granada Germany has appointed Gerda Mueller to develop the drama project as full-time senior producer. Mueller recently executive produced the Granada Germany crime drama Der letzte Bulle for Sat.1.

Jan Kromschroeder, the managing director of Granada Germany, said, “We are delighted to announce today’s ground-breaking development deal, which is our first ever multi-project scripted commission from RTL. I believe we share the same passion and vision for these projects, and that we have brought together the best possible writing and producing talent to create three hugely successful shows, each having the potential to grow as TV franchises.”
