New Discovery Doc to Showcase North America

SILVER SPRING: Discovery Channel is partnering with Wild Horizons and Keith Scholey to produce a seven-part documentary that will focus on the continent of North America.

International pre-sale opportunities are still available for Wild Planet: North America through Discovery’s international program sales arm, Discovery Enterprises International. Discovery and Wild Horizons will work to capture iconic images and landscapes that bring to life the continent that stretches from Canada’s polar ice caps to Mexico’s subtropics. HD cameras will be positioned on the tops of mammoth sequoias, the largest living organisms on Earth, and lowered down into Carlsbad Cavern, one of the deepest caves on the planet. High-speed cameras will fly and move with animals as well.

“Wild Planet: North America will highlight the sweeping beauty and majesty of the continent and its rich diversity and ignite our viewers’ passion for the world around them,” said Nicolas Bonard, the senior VP of Discovery Enterprises International.
