MIAMI: Telemundo has promoted Alonso Galvez and Christian Riehl to both serve as VP of production.

Galvez will focus on the network’s hit dating show 12 Corazones, as well as the weekend shows Nítido and Déscontrol and alternative programs. Riehl will head up Telemundo’s broadcast of the Billboard Latin Music Awards, presented by State Farm, which takes place on April 29. He will also continue to oversee the network’s live, three-hour morning show Levantate, as well as Caso Cerrado and a new project titled Persiguiendo Injusticias. They will both report to Derek Bond, the senior executive VP for studios, production and broadcast operations.

“Alonso and Christian have made important contributions to the Telemundo Studios during their successful tenure at the network,” said Bond. “Their industry knowledge and rich experience in production and programming for the Hispanic audience is integral to their new roles, and we are excited for them both to continue the rapid growth of Telemundo Studios with creative, innovative programming.”
