E1 & TMG Sign Deal on Haven

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO: E1 Entertainment has clinched a deal with Germany’s Tele München Group (TMG) for the TV rights in Continental Europe for Haven, a new mystery drama based on the Stephen King novella The Colorado Kid.

The 13×1-hour series follows FBI agent Audrey Parker, who arrives in a small town in Maine only to discover that it has served as a longtime refuge for people who are afflicted with a range of supernatural abilities. E1, which produces the series, handles the worldwide distribution rights. The deal with TMG follows previously announced deals with Universal Networks International for global pay-TV broadcast rights (excluding the U.S., Canada and Scandinavia), and Canwest for broadcast in Canada and the Syfy for broadcast in the U.S.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to have Tele München Group on board on this prestigious project,” said Peter Emerson, the president of E1 Television International. “TMG is a powerhouse in Europe with an impressive track record making them the perfect partners to bring this series to audiences throughout the continent.”

"E1 has a great reputation for delivering high-quality content and we are thrilled to be in business with them on Haven and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship on future projects," added Bernd Schlötterer, the managing director of TMG.
