DQ Signs L&M Deals on The Jungle Book

HYDERABAD: DQ Entertainment has announced multiple deals for licensing and merchandising for The Jungle Book, which is in production as a 52-episode animated series and one-hour TV feature.

DQ has entered into two deals in France, Belgium and Luxembourg along with its French co-producers TF1 Enterprises. The deals are with School Pack for the production and sale of back-to-school products, and D’arpeje for outdoor items such as tents, balls, garden equipment and indoor/outdoor products like plastic chairs and tables.

After securing an exclusive broadcast deal for The Jungle Book with Noga TV of Israel, DQ has entered an agreements with Ahim Fried and D & C TV to manufacture, merchandise and sell a variety of bedroom items for kids, including quilts, pillows, blankets, bed linen and towels.

Tapaas Chakravarti, the chairman and CEO of DQE Group, commented, “Licensees and retailers have already expressed substantial interest in The Jungle Book brand created by us, based on the original writings by Rudyard Kipling and entire adaptation done in London and Paris for the series and TV feature. D & C Merchandising  of Israel, Ahim Fried of Israel, School Pack of Paris and D’arpeje of Paris for merchandising is testimony to this fact. A number of similar agreements are currently under negotiation and have opened up new and multiple revenue streams for DQE. We are excited that our relationship with these companies will bring a whole new element to this brand and we expect to announce soon.
