Janson Takes On The Impossible Spy

HARRINGTON PARK: Janson Media has acquired the worldwide all-media rights to the movie The Impossible Spy, which tells the true story of the Israeli spy Elie Cohen.

John Shea and Eli Wallach star in the film, about Cohen’s mission in Syria that was key in saving Israel in the June 1967 Six-Day War. Cohen was able to infiltrate the Syrian High Command and was even nominated to be their Deputy Minister of Defense. In cooperation with Janson Media, the National Center For Jewish Film arranges screenings of The Impossible Spy in Jewish Film Festivals nationwide. Other special venue showings have included those at The International Spy Museum in Washington, DC, and at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in New York. The Impossible Spy is a BBC and Quartet International co-production, and was previously distributed internationally by the BBC. Janson Media released the film on DVD in 2005.
