Merlin Heads Back to Syfy in April

NEW YORK: The second season of Merlin is to make its U.S. debut on Syfy on April 2 at 10 p.m., following the 9 p.m. season premiere of Stargate Universe.

On March 28, Syfy has slated a marathon of the first season of Merlin, airing from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The series puts a new spin on the timeless legend. Merlin is set in the mythical city of Camelot, a fantastical realm of legendary beasts and mysterious peoples. Syfy acquired the basic cable rights from FremantleMedia Enterprises in February for all 26 episodes of Merlin. Season one originally aired on NBC in summer 2009. Seasons one and two aired on BBC One in the U.K. BBC has commissioned a third season, which will air in September.
