Planet Green Launching New Prime-Time Block

SILVER SPRING: Verge is an all-new programming block slated for Planet Green’s prime-time grid that will feature the mavericks and innovators who are on the brink of changing the world and creating a better tomorrow.

Verge will kick off on March 29, and will air seven days a week from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The week the block kicks off is headlined by the world premiere of Future Food, which follows Moto Restaurant’s Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche as look to discover the dishes of tomorrow. Future Food will also be stacked at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. in a special series launch event. Other highlights for Verge include 30 Days, Living with Ed, Conviction Kitchen, Operation Wild and Blood, Sweat and Takeaways.

“The launch of Verge and our transition to a 24-hour clock represent the next steps in the evolution of Planet Green,” said Laura Michalchyshyn, the president and general manager of Planet Green. “We’re expanding our network dialogue to include stories of passionate people doing forward-thinking things. These are the change makers who are inspiring us to think differently, sustainably and positively for the future—whether they’re chefs, urbanites-cum-farmers, fashion designers or technological innovators. Audiences will be amazed by their stories.”
