Tandem Producing New Movie for RTL & Syfy

MUNICH: Tandem Communications has begun principal photography on its newest movie, The Lost Future, for commissioning broadcasters RTL Television of Germany and Syfy in the U.S.

Budged at $7 million, The Lost Future is shooting on location in South Africa. The film is set in the year 2510, telling a post-apocalyptic story about a band of hunters who fight for survival in a landscape overrun by terrible beasts and by the specter of a mysterious and deadly illness. The Lost Future is the first of three productions from Tandem’s newly created Action Pack(ed) genre label of event action-adventure programming.

“The Lost Future is the ideal first title of our new Action Pack(ed) label,” said Jonas Bauer, a partner at Tandem. “It’s an action/adventure with an exciting and surprising story that unfolds in many layers. Just when the audience thinks they know what’s happening, they’ll be thrown for a loop. We are thrilled to have RTL Television and Syfy as our commissioning broadcast partners.”
