MTVNI Promotes Digital Exec

NEW YORK/LONDON: Philip Bourchier O’Ferrall has been upped to senior VP of digital media for MTV Networks International.

Taking on an expanded role, O’Ferrall will lead MTVNI’s digital media business for all multiplatform properties and will lead the company’s overall digital media strategy. He will work closely with MTV Networks’ U.S. Digital Media to ensure worldwide synergies and local business units to drive growth in 161 countries and 34 languages with more than 400 digital media properties. He continues his responsibilities for the U.K., Ireland and Australia/New Zealand digital media teams.

He will report to Robert Bakish, the president of MTVNI based in New York, and Heather Jones, the executive VP and director of television for MTV Networks UK.

"Since joining the company, Philip has aggressively driven our digital media business resulting in year-on-year multiplatform growth of audience and revenue, expanded our content offering and pioneered 360-degree commissioning at MTVN,” said David Lynn, the executive VP and managing director of MTV Networks UK & Ireland.

Bakish added, “Our digital ambition is to be on all of the platforms that are relevant to our audience. I am confident that Philip will drive robust growth for MTVNI’s digital business as he has for MTVN UK.”
