NGCI Ups Janet Han Vissering

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Janet Han Vissering has been promoted within National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) to the role of senior VP of development and co-finance.

She has served for the past seven years as senior VP of strategic development and co-finance. In her new role, Han Vissering will be responsible for developing all third-party original programming, working with financing partners and managing NGCI’s relationship with co-production and output partners in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America. She takes over for Geoff Daniels, who was recently named global executive in charge of programming for Nat Geo Wild. Han Vissering joined NGCI as VP of international acquisitions in 1998.

Sydney Suissa, the executive VP of content for NGCI, said: “Over her tenure with NGCI, Janet has demonstrated exceptional programming instincts, keen industry insight, and a great ability to work collaboratively with production and broadcast partners throughout the world.
