Chorion Enters Toy Deal with Fisher-Price

LONDON/NEW YORK: Fisher-Price has added Chorion’s The Octonauts to its portfolio, with product categories to include plush, musical talking toys and electronic learning aids.

Further categories include playsets, vehicles, accessories, bath and role-play toys. The Octonauts, which has been presold to CBeebies, TF1 and ABC Australia, is aimed at preschoolers 3 to 5. The show will launch later this year, while the toy rollout is planned for 2011.

Chorion’s chairman, Waheed Alli, said: “From the first time Fisher-Price saw The Octonauts, they had a clear vision for the toy line. We are delighted to once again be partnering with a world-class category leader who has brilliant plans for our newest property.”
