BKN New Media Signs Rep Agreement on Spanish Property

BARCELONA: BKN New Media SL has taken on the global distribution rights, excluding TV in Spain, for the property Lua from Triacom Audiovisual and Televisio de Catalunya.

BKN will represent the property in all forms, venues and languages worldwide. There are currently 195 three-minute episodes of Lua available, with 65 new episodes in production.

Oriol Carbo, the owner of Triacom, commented: “We have patiently waited for the right quality global distributor to commit to this great property and we believe we found it in BKN New Media. We are very excited about bringing Lua into the homes of children around the world.”

Adds Laura Tapias, the managing director of the BKN, said: “This is such a charming character that was conceived and produced in Spain and has performed very well on TVC. Now, we will present it first at NATPE later this month and throughout 2010 to major broadcasters, DVD distributors, product licensees, etc….everywhere.”
