Four New Original Series Join Logo

NEW YORK: Logo, MTV Networks’ channel dedicated to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender audience, is ramping up its original programming, with four new shows given the greenlight.

The Robert Verdi Show Starring Robert Verdi looks at the celebrity-filled, high-stress lives of the stylist and his creative team. RuPaul’s Drag U watches as RuPaul and other drag queens put their personal touch on those in need of assistance with their lives and looks. The Arrangement follows the action in a high-end floral design competition, while Kept spotlights the lives of gay men living in Manhattan who are, or aspire to be, "kept" by another man.

Logo has also ordered new episodes of the original series Beautiful People, Exes & Ohs, Real Momentum and The Big Gay Sketch Show.

"As we approach our five-year anniversary, Logo is proud to launch our most extensive and widely appealing lineup of original programming yet," said Dave Mace, the senior VP of programming for Logo. "We’ve had tremendous success since our launch in 2005 connecting with our LGBT viewers and their interests. With these new projects, we’re deepening that connection while also expanding our voice to include the LGBT community’s families and friends."

Mace added: "We’re presenting more opportunities for gays and lesbians to watch meaningful and entertaining programming together with their family members, gay or straight."
