World Screen Video Interview: FME’s David Ellender

NEW YORK: David Ellender, the global CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), talks in this video interview about the company’s reputation as a consistent supplier of quality content, and how the business of managing brands is changing.

Earlier this month, BBC One commissioned FME’s fantasy drama Merlin for a third season. The series has been sold into more than 180 countries, and counting, and is but one example of FME’s power in building out global brands.

With its catalogue of entertainment and reality shows, the likes of Idols, The X Factor and Got Talent, FME has created a stable of hits that are considered "must-have" properties for many broadcasters around the world. The company is also taking these brands beyond the TV set, giving viewers a more immersive type of entertainment with its multiplatform strategy that includes everything from gaming and telephony to live events and gambling.
