Piers Morgan to Host Susan Boyle Special

LOS ANGELES: TV Guide Network’s exclusive one-hour special I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, which is slated for December 13 at 8 p.m., will be hosted by Piers Morgan, a judge on America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent.

I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story will chronicle the singer’s journey from the small Scottish village of Blackburn to the superstardom she achieved after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent. Following her history-making album launch, Boyle became the top-selling female artist debut of all-time. The special will feature stage performances from her best-selling album, including Who I Was Born To Be and Cry Me A River. She will also joined by the entire London cast of Les Misérables, who will perform One Day More as an introduction to Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream. Exclusive interviews will be included throughout the special with Boyle, her friends and celebrity fans, including Ant and Dec and the Britain’s Got Talent judges.

"I’ve really enjoyed myself and I’m really enjoying making the show," Boyle commented on the making of the TV Guide Network special. "I don’t want the dream to end—in fact, I want it to become a reality."

Morgan stated, “It is very hard to think of anyone in the history of show business that has come from such an extraordinary background as Susan Boyle. To be propelled from the complete anonymity of Blackburn to global superstardom and having 300 million people downloading you, it is to me the most extraordinary transformation I’ve ever seen in this business.”
