New GM at MTV Networks Hungary

 

 LONDON/BUDAPEST: Gábor Horváth Dori has been named general manager of MTV Networks Hungary, where he will be responsible for the overall management of MTV Networks International’s (MTVNI) business.

Horváth Dori’s responsibilities will span an integrated multimedia entertainment portfolio of brands such as localized Hungarian MTV, Comedy Central and VIVA services. He will oversee the day-to-day operation of MTVNI’s businesses in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Adriatic region. Based in Budapest, Horváth Dori will report to Bhavneet Singh, the managing director and executive VP for emerging markets at MTVNI.

In related news, Gábor Vörös has been promoted to the newly created position of deputy general manager for MTV Networks Hungary. He will work alongside Horváth Dori across MTVNI’s businesses in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and the Adriatic region. He will continue to be based in Budapest and will report to Horváth Dori.

Horváth Dori joins MTV Networks Hungary from Chello Central Europe, where he was general manager. Vörös joined MTV Networks Hungary in 2006 and has been responsible for overseeing the launches of localized MTV and Comedy Central services. Prior to this, he held senior roles at SPI International, Magyorarszág and HBO.
