Record Opens New Studios

RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil’s Record has opened up two new studios at its RecNov (Record Novelas) production complex, as part of its efforts to ramp up its original programming capabilities.

Record acquired the production complex in 2005, when it was home to just three studios. With the recent inauguration of the two new facilities, RecNov now has ten studios and some 2,500 employees. Present for the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the new studios was Brazilian President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, alongside Honorilton Gonçalves, the CEO of Rede Record, and Alexandre Raposo, the president of Record TV Network.
