ABC Gives Full-Season Pickups to Drama, Trio of Comedies

BURBANK: FlashForward, Cougar Town, The Middle and Modern Family have all received full-season orders from ABC.

In Cougar Town, Courteney Cox stars as a recently divorced single mother who is dealing with the truths of dating and aging. The show, which airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m., ranks number two in its time slot in adults 18 to 49. The drama FlashForward follows as the world’s population is given a glimpse into their future, forcing everyone to deal with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided. FlashForward airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. The show ranks number one in adults 18 to 49.

Airing Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., The Middle stars Emmy-winner Patricia Heaton as a middle-aged, middle-class wife and mother of three living in the middle of suburbia. The Middle holds the number one position in its half-hour with adults 25 to 54 and men 18 to 49. The comedy Modern Family takes an honest look at the complexities of family life in 2009. Modern Family stands as TV’s most watched new comedy this season, ranking number one in its half-hour among adults 18 to 49. The show also holds the number one spot for its time period with women 18 to 49 and men 18 to 34.
