HBO to Air Mumbai Terrorism Doc

NEW YORK/LONDON: This November, HBO will premiere a doc co-production with Channel 4, narrated by Fareed Zakaria, about last year’s attacks in Mumbai, featuring exclusive accounts and telephone intercepts of the terrorists.

Terror in Mumbai promises to provide the first-ever 360-degree view of a terrorist act when it debuts November 19. Expanding on Channel 4’s version, it is narrated by Mumbai-born Fareed Zakaria, CNN host and Newsweek International editor. The film is directed by Dan Reed (HBO’s Terror in Moscow) and recounts the events that took place over three days, in which ten young Pakistani men unleashed coordinated attacks across the city of Mumbai, leaving more than 170 people dead. The doc includes exclusive intercepted audio tapes of the cell phone calls between the young gunmen and their controllers in Pakistan, and interrogation footage of the sole surviving gunman.
