Reality, Series, Telenovelas from Televisa

MEXICO CITY: Televisa Internacional has a diverse catalogue to present in Cannes, with series ranging from comedies to dramas, reality contests and a host of telenovelas to offer.

In the way of drama series, Crazy About Love is a Televisa production based on an original format from Pol-ka of the same name. The story follows three beautiful young women who were once patients at a mental institution and are now attempting to incorporate themselves into society after being released from this facility. Among the original series comes Mary of the Heavenly Angels, a comedic production about a young woman who dreams of falling in love and invokes the angels to give her signs. A third season of The Panther will also be on offer. The series follows a man who was wrongfully accused of a crime, and now works with the police to undertake the criminal underworld.

Novela titles Televisa will be presenting include Chameleons, about two people who alter their appearance in order to steal; Love Spell, a story of deceit and betrayal; and Burden of Guilt, a love story born from an innocent crush between childhood friends. For Love or Money follows as a sudden accident changes the lives of two people, throwing them into a whirlwind of emotions that forces them to choose between love and money. Further telenovela titles are Teach Me How to Live and The Brave Ones, both from Pol-ka.

There are also a host of reality-show contests from Televisa, among them Make Me Laugh. The show follows as teams—consisting of a famous comedian and a high-profile celebrity—engage in stand-up comedy, sketches, hidden-camera gags and more. I’m Searching For is a reality show that helps find the right match for a celebrity whether they’re searching for a new love, a personal assistant, back-up dancer, fashion consultant, etc. A spin-off of 12 Hearts, 12 Hearts to the Altar features six couples who compete in challenges with the objective to win a wedding reception.
