2waytraffic Forms New Company with Millionaire Talent

LONDON, October 4: 2waytraffic is launching a new venture
with David Briggs, Colman Hutchinson and Steve Springford, the key production
executives responsible for the British version of Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire?

The venture, The Usual Suspects, will devise, develop and
option new formats for the 2waytraffic catalogue. Briggs, Hutchinson and
Springford will also continue their roles on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? as well as provide a production resource to
2waytraffic on other projects.

The creation of The Usual Suspects follows 2waytraffic’s
acquisition last year of Dutch creative outfit Intellygents. The new company
will be jointly owned by 2waytraffic and Briggs, Hutchinson and Springford.

Briggs is the producer and one of the original creators of Who
Wants To Be A Millionaire?
He has
co-devised a number of other successful quiz shows including Winning
Lines
, The People Versus and Brainiest. Hutchinson is the executive producer of Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire?
He has also produced You
Bet, Blind Date
and Surprise
Surprise
, among others. Springford is the
production manager of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? He headed up production at Celador Productions for
over 15 years, during which time he oversaw production on Celador’s entire
portfolio ranging from scripted comedy such as The Detectives and All About Me to live entertainment studio shows such as Talking
Telephone Numbers
and Winning
