Warner Bros. VOD Service Joins Top Up TV

LONDON, July 10: Top Up TV, which provides premium content
on the British DTT service Freeview, has added Warner Bros.’s branded VOD
service, delivering series such as ER and Smallville, among others, to its slate of offerings.

The deal with Warner Bros. International Television
Distribution brings Warner TV to Top Up TV Anytime subscribers. The service
launched June 30, providing series such as ER, Without a Trace, Smallville, The West Wing,
Friends
and Two
and a Half Men
.

In addition, Top Up TV and Warner Bros. Digital Distribution
have agreed to bring pay-per-view movies to all Top Up TV customers in the
future. Planned for launch within the next few months, this service will give
subscribers access to recent release movies, including I Am Legend, 10,000 BC, The Bucket List, Fool’s
Gold
and Sweeney Todd.

This is the latest deal following Warner Bros.’s
announcement this year to offer up branded VOD channels around the world.
Services are up and running with ProSiebenSat.1 in Germany; Virgin Media, BT
and Tiscali in the U.K.; GyaO in Japan and Free TV in France. An Indian launch
is planned for later this year.
