Back Roads Entertainment has appointed Pamela Covais to the post of VP of production.<\/p>\n
Covais, veteran producer and former September Films senior VP of production, will report directly to Back Roads Entertainment CEO Colby Gaines. Working out of the company\u2019s Austin headquarters, Covais will work closely alongside Gaines as well as Bret Calvert, VP of development, and Alexis O\u2019Donnell, director of development. In her new role, Covais will be charged with overseeing Back Roads Entertainment\u2019s production slate across original formats for broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.<\/p>\n
Covais spent over a decade as managing director and senior VP of production of September Films USA and Polygons Films USA. There, she was responsible for running the day-to-day operations of both companies as well as overseeing production across hit series such as Bridezillas<\/em>, Billy the Exterminator<\/em> and Mall Cops<\/em>.<\/p>\n Gaines said: \u201cShe has a stellar track record of effectively managing production teams across all genres, growing year-on-year profits, and delivering high-quality programs to networks and platforms.
