{"id":9905,"date":"2020-04-29T11:21:53","date_gmt":"2020-04-29T15:21:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/electric-entertainment-launches-electric-now-app\/"},"modified":"2020-04-29T11:21:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-29T15:21:53","slug":"electric-entertainment-launches-electric-now-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/electric-entertainment-launches-electric-now-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Electric Entertainment Launches Electric Now App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Electric Entertainment has launched its OTT\u00a0Electric Now app, a linear and on-demand streaming video channel offering feature films and series.<\/p>\n<p>Electric Now will offer all of Electric Entertainment\u2019s movies and series, including <em>The Outpost<\/em>, now in its third season on The CW; the new episodic crime show <em>Almost Paradise<\/em>, currently airing on WGN America; and top-performing programs like <em>Leverage<\/em> and <em>The Librarians<\/em>.\u00a0The app will contain bonus materials from all Electric programs.<\/p>\n<p>Electric\u2019s podcast network,\u00a0Electric Surge,\u00a0will be on the app, featuring the entire video podcast library, adding more original content every week.<\/p>\n<p>The linear and VOD channel will be available on multiple platforms, including smartphones, tablets and smart TVs in the U.S. exclusively.\u00a0The ad-supported\u00a0Electric Now\u00a0channel, launched in 2019, continues to be available on multiple platforms, including Stirr and XUMO.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, said: \u201cFor a long time, we have wanted to create a hub where we could aggregate all our various fan bases from <em>Leverage<\/em>, <em>The Librarians<\/em>, <em>The Outpost<\/em>, <em>Almost Paradise<\/em> and all of our podcast subscribers into a single space. This will be a\u00a0one-stop-shop\u00a0to find all the content we make and distribute. Unlike larger studios, we have been fortunate to have nurtured a direct relationship with our audience through social media, personal appearances and electronic communication. This app gives us a central platform to show them how much we enjoy and treasure that relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Electric has partnered with OTTera to create and maintain the\u00a0aPP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOTTera has been a tremendous partner for us.
